
Rick Nye
Director
Rick is responsible for Populus’s political research work, including polling for The Times and is a regular commentator on public attitudes in the media and elsewhere.
Rick specialises in designing and delivering research programmes, evaluating and advising on corporate reputation, issues management and strategic communication. With more than a decade's worth of experience in formulating, presenting and researching into corporate strategy and public policy, he leads Populus’s work for clients such as BSkyB, the Premier League, the BBC and Nestlé.
Before joining Populus in 2004, Rick co-founded the Social Market Foundation and as its Director built it into Britain's pre-eminent cross party think tank. He went on to become Director of The Conservative Research Department where he ran the Party’s polling and advertising campaigns and acted as speechwriter and adviser to successive Conservative Party leaders.
Rick is a former Times new technology journalist of the year.
