
Test and trial
A successful commercial launch requires that things are right first time and that the new product or offering is problem free. A full scale trial prior to launch can help iron out any underlying problems and ensure the best start for a new concept.
Populus use a tried and tested approach to new product trials. The approach has been honed by experience and you can be sure that we understand the potential pitfalls when trialing a new product or service.
The basic structure employed is highlighted below. As an overview we recruit the trialists, help demonstrate the new product or service, engage with them for duration of the trial and run multiple research exercises.
We recognise that each new product or service is different and will require a slightly different approach. For example the qualitative research phase may be expanded to include observational research at set-up as well as a mid-trial drill down or the quantitative research may only be conducted at the conclusion of the trial.
