Populus Parliament Panel
The Populus Parliament Panel enables organisations to measure what MPs think of them and the issues they face as well as to test the effectiveness of their key messages. It is made up of 250 MPs – both frontbenchers and backbenchers – from all the main political parties and receives 100 responses six times a year.
Key reasons to use the Populus Parliament Panel
- Public Relations – increase the profile of issues, organisations and policies in parliamentary and public communications campaigns
- Public Affairs – test parliamentarians’ opinions of current and proposed legislation, which campaign issues are likely to gain traction, and how messages are being received
- Benchmarking – measure the effectiveness of ongoing communications and campaigns.
How it works
We conduct interviews with around 100 MPs six times a year and provide results that are representative of the party political composition of the House. Populus offers all clients a full research service including questionnaire design and in-depth analytical reports. Personal presentations of the findings are available at the client’s request. Results are broken by party, age, gender, region, marginality of seat and length of tenure. In addition, Populus can identify MPs with special interests and expertise, such as those on relevant Select Committees or All Party Parliamentary Groups to form a core group within the panel.
