Idea Generation
New ideas rarely pop out of thin air but are instead generated through creative thinking within an organisation and creative development with potential customers. Populus’s creative workshops with clients and customers help organisations to generate new ideas in a fun and stimulating fashion.
Idea generation is often called the ’fuzzy front end’ of the innovation process. It is the identification and generation of new ideas and possibilities. New ideas can come from many sources, they can be generated from a SWOT analysis within a business, they can be found by analysis of consumer trends and they may be sparked by a competitor or from supplier.
Populus run creative workshops which aim to help clients through the ‘fuzzy front end’. We believe on conducting these sessions in interesting and exciting locations such as film studios or rooms with a view – how about the top of St Marys Axe aka the gherkin! A workshop follows a four stage process as shown below although it is not a linear process and allows flexibility in response.
