This poll,part of the regular monthly series for The Times,covered the leader index, who is most trusted to deal with the problems facing Britain’s economy and the recent arrest of senior Conservative MP, Damian Green.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,505 adults aged 18+ by telephone between December 5th and 7th 2008. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to be representative of all adults.
