The challenge

Ofcom was seeking to understand behavioural changes in consumption and use of communication devices to inform their International Communications Market Research (ICMR) annual report.

The solution

Populus delivered a 25 minute online survey of 1000 respondents across 9 global markets. The questionnaire investigated the consumption habits of interviewees and the changing nature of communications, as well as other areas of interest such as how respondents accessed coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Populus research presented a comprehensive picture of the state of key global markets. Ofcom used this research as the basis of their ICMR report, providing an authoritative brief to help inform regulatory decisions and support business decision making in the industry.
