Richard joined Populus in 2008. In that time he has led or worked on research projects in politics, corporate reputation and strategy, and social affairs. He has helped clients such as PepsiCo, Asda & Diageo understand their company’s reputations and how they can improve their stakeholder engagement; provided a detailed understanding of the motivations of fans for attending cricket matches for the England and Wales Cricket Board; led the multinational research among business decision makers that forms the Sage Business Index; and used sophisticated analysis techniques to help organisations such as Searchlight and the British Beer and Pub Association understand the motivations, values and beliefs of the general public so they can shape its attitudes.
He graduated from the University College London with first class degree in History, and has a Masters in Political Science from the London School of Economics. He is an Associate Member of the Market Research Society and holds its Advanced Certificate at Merit level.
