The group, which includes research and strategy consultancy Populus Limited and fieldwork and data collection agency Populus Data Solutions (PDS), reported a 31.89% increase in turnover from £9.24m in 2013 to £12.18m in 2014.
Populus, which was founded in 2003 by Andrew Cooper (Lord Cooper of Windrush) and Michael Simmonds, has been best known for its political polling work. However, in recent years, it has built a thriving business and consumer research practice and set up Populus Data Solutions which has further helped to fuel the group’s growth.

Commercial Director Duncan Garnett joined Populus in January this year. In the overall league table Populus Group has moved from 48th place in 2013 to 39th in 2014.
